overseas gemini models

Post by gem_wagon »

Iv done a little bit of research on which car makers bought out the gemini, but im having trouble sussing out what models of the gem they bought out, im particularly interested in what models Isuzu and Opel bought out. Is it bascially the same range as what Oz offered or was it totally different?

Chevettes in US were all hatchbacks, either 3 or 5 dr.
I think that 1 is from S America (Brazil?).
The US "Shoveit" had a kind of similar grille for 76 & 77 only.
The original 1.4L/52HP didn't generate many fans - To be fair tho, there was a HO version 1.6L that made 74HP in 79 & 80.
This is a 77 -

Looks like a Chevy Vega

but after some poking around I'd have to say it's a Pontiac Astre sold in Canada & built on the GM H chassis that was also under Vegas.

A 75
