i just used small philips head metal screws

i was intending on using self-tappers, but as he said one hole was already there i was wondering what he used.

this is a really good thread well done, i put gas struts on my te today, i used this method but with connecting to the bonnet i just used self tapping metal screws and they seem to be holding, if they blow out then ill just have to put a nut and screw in it, also with connecting the right angle bracket i didnt drill any more holes in the guard, i just used one hole already there from the guard screws and put a spring washer on it.
