actually the exemption for emissions testing in qld still stands as there are no testing stations, tony abbot's publicity team have confirmed this within the last month. there are some people that do have them, the guy who will mod plate 13bt ina gemini and a 3.8L in a gemini (all have to be sedan)...

so whats the bottom line... how hard is it now to register a gemini that has been turboed, can it still be mod plated for the road What size motor is it that you want to turbo?...1.6?.... Just spoke to a high ranking inspector (one who trains them all up) and he was kind enough to spend a fair amount of time going through all of the new legislation etc etc. After speaking with him and questioning the 20% rules etc they had passed, it is no FULLY legal (even after the 1st of may 2013)...

Yeah slimer but even if u can get it mod plated its still not legal under qld current laws.
