I'm keen.

Just a thought though it costs about $140 to get on the track at Lakeside for a test day - I guess add a set of brakes and tyres to that price too though - plus there's not really much run off if you get it wrong.......

No I'll have a look at their calander and see when they're running them. At their test days they let you out onto the track 5 - 10 cars at a time for 10 - 15 minutes sessions, there's no official lap timing and you're not supposed to race each other (though everyone does anyway). Was $100 for a half day or $140 for a full day last time I went out there.

This is the best I can find (prices have changed though).

Looks like their last day for 2011 was back in October and they don't have the 2012 calander up yet. I forgot there's a very strictly enforced noise limit too - only car that had an issue last time was a Gemini series racer (had straight pipes though) but the guys at lakeside were pretty cool and let him keep trying different things and re-testing him till he passed.

They did used to run them on Saturday too that's when I went.

It pays to show up early as the 30 spots can fill up but it's worth waiting around if you can't get straight on the track as it doesn't normally take very long for someone to pop an engine or something else.

I'll do some legwork in the new year and post up some info to see if anyone's keen so I stop dragging this thread any further off topic.
