Next Car
i know this is sort of a stupid question as its really up to me, but i asking for your opinion on what my next car should be.
Im currently on my p plates so that makes a few limits. ive only previosly owned a gem with g180, cam, weber, and pre adr head and extractors with 2 inch exhaust (which i killed) and a turbo mazda mx-6. which has also been killed numerous times.
im after a reliable fastish car that i can keep for a few years.
I want manual, and prefer 6 cylinders. i tend to thrash my cars a fair bit too and prefer RWD. im sick of FWD
I plan on buying the car early next year and hope to have about $20,000 to play with.
Options,
*the gem- will spend maybe 10 g on it, for a respray, iterior touch up, and stage 3 n/a gemracing engine. i want to eventually rotorise it but have a year and a half left on the p plates.
*bmw, i want an e46 ie after 1998, manual and black.
*supra, non turbo
*s15, non turbo
*other, feel free to share your opinion
Cheers, steve

yea i thought that. ive also noticed of lot of the gemini drivers drive other cars too. and i didnt really feel like putting it on boostTea Gem wrote:Its a gemini site & you put gemini up as an option, not half obvious what most people are going to vote for.
Lets go on a holden commodore site & ask if we should buy a ford falcon
Seriously though i'd do whats been said above, Buy a commodore & do a gemini rotor.charliebrown069 wrote:yea i thought that. ive also noticed of lot of the gemini drivers drive other cars too. and i didnt really feel like putting it on boostTea Gem wrote:Its a gemini site & you put gemini up as an option, not half obvious what most people are going to vote for.

none of the options listed are great, the s15 and supra options im guessing are non turbo and not worth it in my opinion, the beemer is more of a cruiser than a sports car and the supra and bmw will be stupidly expensive to fix if you break them..
just buy a commodore..

the rule with bmw's is if you cant afford a new one you cant a afford a second hand one. they break and are very expensive to fix, i've owned 2 of them first one did a tranny 1500 and i replaced it myself the second one did the engine 2000 and i rebuilt it myself, e36 and e46, and most people i know who own them have the same problems they are s*#t.
go the s15
go the s15
