lol, alright alright, poor bugger's probably pissed enough about being out of pocket without us yanking his chain. Nankervis, I hope thinks look up for you.

And I'm still keeeeen to get this LSD in! Pity my paint job needs to be done before I can even think about testing it. Oh well, most of the way there.

Ok so after this massive f*#k around 3 months later and 4 days left until I needed a blue slip I got the car going and got a pink slip
But I'm hearing a cathud noise as if it's kinda loose or something
Before the diff went in there was a bit of play between the wheels
So if I grabed one side and turned it the other wouldn't turn for a bit and make a thud as well
So it usually happens when I'm getting off the power...not a lot of power (probably because I can't hear s*#t) but also on im pretty sure as I can feel it
Is this normall? Or is it f*#cked and I have to pull it out..again...and tear some c*#nts head off
Keep in mind I've never owned or driven a car with an LSD so I'm unsure on noises
But other than that it's great!!! No loss of power through corners it's awesome! And skids...cannot forget the skids ;)

Sooo lemme know what you guys think
Cheers
Glen

Mines as quiet as, on or off power clutch kicked clutch drops etc sounds like they may have set the lash or something incorrectly

Who installed the LSD?

Darren at Altra9 told me to Take it to a good diff shop, as if they set it up wrong it'll cause problems.

Would it be possible to just buy the centre and fit it to standard axels? Or is it purely 28 spline?

There is my problem, can't justify $2000 to my misses after I spend atleast 3G on my motor.

Glen found this out before.

I asked:
redzone (coxy) wrote:28 spline only, the option is whether you get the a9 chromoly axles or get some commo ones shortened
as above.

Hope this helps

It wouldn't be so bad if the axels were not 1000 on there own, if the whole lot was 1500 I'd happily debate it out with my misses, sell something the proceed to buy one, but 2000 is a bit much :/

the axels that you get from altra9 are chromoly and are pretty much indestructable, you do have the option of finding some commodore axels and getting them shortened and resplined as well which will be cheaper but no where near as strong.

I'm not looking at making much more than 100kw at the wheels, if that, so massive strength is not needed, just the ability to put the foot down and keep traction.
