Seriously though, definatley fit the mudphlaps and fog lights. I reckon what spoil's Ricks.....err....MY... ZZ/R is the CDT front spoiler - it just doesn't suit a ZZ.

If I can source either a ZZ/Z spoiler or perhaps do a cut down valance panel (like yours) then I'll probably remove it. From the front it looks like a dude with massive flared pants on  (very 70s for those too young to understand that comment).

A valance panel from Japan would be hideously expensive to ship though - I might just go the ZZ/Z style.....unless lok can make a fibreglass one.

Do you have the facotry switch for the foglights?

yea i reckon shipping on the valance would b around $200, i am prepared to pay that

yea the pf50 i got had the factory foglight set-up so i just swapped them over after i got the housings rechromed

the plugs were there in the loom for the switch and for the light in the engine bay

it was so easy.....now i got rip the dash out to do the heater box  been puttin that off tho

next week i prolly will start on the mudflaps as they have been 2paked sliver and that needs to be sanded off before i paint em

cheers

Awesome. The more I see yours the more I reckon I might take mine back to stock (maybe just a tad lower than stock though).

I really want to try and find the stock long DOHC sticker that belongs on the side - might have to get one made...

yea spend the cash and get it made....i always thought yours needed the proper badging and decals to make it right

it sorta looks like anyother gem that has been resprayed and had the bumper strips and decals deleted

lookin at my zz/r i reckon i might do a JDM style rebuild on it and make it a jap touge car....

i got the stocko zz/t so it makes sense to do a full house motor on the zz/r, the youtube footage of the black one sounds tough and goes hard....i dont think anyone is gonna buy it in the next 10 years and i am itchin to rebuild it

I painted the muddies 2day, and fitted em, looks horn

ran out of time to take a pic, will do that 2morrow arvo

while the paint was drying i fitted out the engine bay with a wagon boot light, if you look at the bottom of the bonnet you will see a cut out, this was a german thing i am guessing as i have never seen a jap gem with one fitted, and it fits perfect, maybe the ZZ/L had em but i have not seen the engine bay of one to know

anyways now i got a engine bay light sweeet!

I've thought of doing that too - there is a cutout in the boot near the back window from memory that will take the same lense.

Where did you rig up the swtich?

yea they did that at the dealer with my nanna gem

and wagons/vans had the same cutout near the internal mirror, hence i suspect that it was a german thing carried over in the die patterns
