i just found the rules, my computer is playing up so only getting part pages on screen, i'm still keen so will see what happens, was going to take my time with the panelvan......we'll wait and see how things go
1978 TD wagon "project"
1980 TE Sedan "parts car/for sale"
the longer i think about it the more I wanna be in on this....
does rust count as weight modification? ie.. will i be disqualified for having a rusty heap of sh*t?
LOK15 and Elky start advertising your suitable gems
The rules of willowbank re- rust needs to be followed , in saying this , a little is ok , as long as its not going to be dropping onto the track , as i dont think the big $$$ boys would be happy with you if they found a rusty piece of gemini caused their $100,000 drag machine to hit the wall and be destroyed.
commons sense will tell you how much rust you could get away with.
OK, after reading the rules properly I may be in for this. Whilst my Gemini has a long way to go getting on the road in terms of paint and panel, I already had "budgeted" around the $1500 mark for the engine (standard G161Z). I've jokingly said to a couple of mates I wanted the TE to be quicker than my VT V6 when I'm finished. Condsidering a VT V6 auto probably runs a low to mid 16 at best, if I tick those two boxes of budget and Commodore-killing then I'll be in the ballpark for 15's for $1500. Wish me luck
Need room to put more Gemini parts, help a brother out!!!
sweet! Now throw up a thread for the car you intend , then the motor and mods that you do it it ( without giving away too many secrets as to what you did to get it to perform how it does ).
