It had rust in every-single panel except the pass side rear door and bonnet. The boot was that bad our esky fell through and hit the ground when we were leaving fishing. That was the last straw for the old girl.

I miss that car. Still remember the old man teaching me how to slide it on gravel on our fishing trips. Ironic that its end should happen on another fishing trip...

My TF lost the battle in 1996 with an HQ Kingswood Road-raging Dangerous Driver chasing victim who overtook on a Bridge in Narre Warren VIC. with little regard for me. He was over 100kph, I was under 80kph and Gemini went airborne backwards 10m on impact (no memory). I am somewhat still here (note the Head impact ding in "A" Pillar!! ) gearbox under back seat, no rear footwells, no drivers footwell although the safety cell under seat held up very well. Drivers Door hinges where Groin (mine) should be and Steering Wheel behind left Shoulder.

I kept the wreck but was only good for 1 LHR Door, Bootlid, rear Diff etc, one wheel, fuel Tank and Flap, rear seat and Bumper. The Motor and 5speed I have repaired - Sump, Timing cover, Dizzy and Inlet manifold torn off, hopefully is OK still and kept for my next TD sedan build (mint, under 50thousand K's genuine). It was an O'size (1700cc) bal. and bluprinted G161 mild Cam, standard Carb + Exhaust etc with good torque and midrange that went hard everywhere to over 7000rpm and 200+kph. I intend to Supercharge it or another build using 32/36 DGV Weber (probably best swap for a 38DGMS I think) and will commence build soon and post Pics etc.

I am still workin' that out, gotta thank the available Chopper to Alfred not Dandenong or Frankston, good samaritan puttin his rubbish out who nearly wore it and looked after me (somehow), gotta love INTRUSION BARS IN DOORS OTHER THAN TX (sorry to all the ealy model guys but get new Doors dudes SERIOUSLY some early model Doors do not have them solid mofos that will save yo body) gotta love a good safety cell in a well designed Car like the Gemini.
And a bullet proof head.

Dunno where I ended up cos the next thing I remember is Rehab. over a month later. Ongoing Amnesia is a pissoff, still have random memory of past and little short term memory unless no distractions. Hey, I love walkin' my 50kg MastiffXMalamute Dog a mile twice a day and get out now and then in Boat 4 some Fishin' and everything works but the Brain did not fare so well and I still have 20 fingers and toes but thats not enough to count the G's . I'm spewin' Racing my ex GrpC was a casualty but will get back to it.
yeah no footwell and feet turned 220deg with twistage etc. means I do not Heal'n'Toe like I used too and can get muddled on pedals now under pressure (not good) but things could be worse. Cheers
