alternative heating?

OK so the question is, what have people used in the event of removing the heater box as demisters. you dont need air blowers for a roadworthy, but you must have some sort of demister setup. someone suggested using 12v hair dryers and attaching them under the dash somehow. seems a bit dodgy to me tho...

OK, as well as the steering column, he also reckons i need to upgrade the brakes, which is reasonable, and which i would have been stupid not to do anyway, but he also said i needed to fit bigger swaybars. Once again why, and has anyone heard of this. Thanks for your continued assistance.

Collapsible steering column problems?

I have been researching getting my Gem engineered for a charger and just chatted to my engineer who said that to get it boosted legally, i need to put in a collapsible steering column. Anyone else heard of this, anyone know why, anyone know any engineer who wont insist on it? And please don't answer...
