Re: 2lt

Hey sorry I was just trying to let you know that you can't bore a 1.8 to a 2.2. The biggest you can go is 60 thou over g200 bore which from memory I think is exactly 2000cc if someone wants to elaborate. y can u bore a 2lt block out then? 1.8 and 2L are the same block, a 1.8 has larger gap between ...

Just recalculated and got 10.79 using a 1mm thick gasket when compressed. Flat tops, zero deck and standard 87x82mm bore/stroke. Last time I calculated I used a negative deck clearance because my pistons sit just above the block I measured by around 0.25mm approx Should give 10.9 something. High com...

I'm sure my head was 44cc, standard bore 2L
I'll have to check my calculations. I may be wrong on my combustion size

My old motor wouldnt idle below 1000rpm because of valve seats leaking.
It could also be a vacuum leak, try spraying wd40/rp7 around inlet manifold and carby and see if the revs increase because of the spray, this will find the leak.

Do a compression test to check the valves and rings condition

I wouldn't bother with filler only, it will fall out for sure.
Around the strut towers need to be welded otherwise the movement will crack your bog and paint.

Sedan shocks will bottom out and jam

I use gem front springs in the back of my wagon to keep ultra low springs captive, they are a perfect fit
