lol i didnt mean fibre filler like...bog with string in it... i meant a fibre glass repair kit... to get a good stick witht he metal, you just wire brush it back to steel on the back side, then its body filler (bog) over the painted side, the rubbed back, primed and painted. to me it looks fine, but...

cant you just use a fibre glass kit rather than welding? I bought a panel off SLIMER jsut the other day and its a TG panel, my gemini is a TF..so the new panel has indicator holes and a arial hole, i just put some tape over the PAINT side and fibre glassed it fron the INSIDE, then a bit of bog to fi...

I had this done on my old car, had a 6inch rim cut into 2 pieces then a band welded inbetween them... like GENE said, it was about $150 per rim from memory.
