A couple of years ago I had a diff lock solid on me like that. Had to do a massive 6k clutch dump to free it up enough to move it (Gemini abuse, whoo!). When I pulled the centre out I found the spider gears were getting jammed on each other, but thinking about it now that would just lock the axles t...

The last few posts clearly confirm why I say if you are this into making a car do it's best in a track situation it should be a track only car. You are getting into serious mods when you start altering steering alignment so it performs best in the drift track. Expecting the best of both worlds is j...

twin 5/8 masters should actually be a fair bit easier to push than a single 1 inch. Surface area of twin 5/8" masters is 3.95cm^2 area of a single 1" is 5.06cm^2. And the effective master cylinder piston surface area increases, pedal travel decreases and pedal effort increases. Regardless,...

This sort of setup is really common in race cars because of the good control of brake bias. Cant imagine why you'd want to use one in a road car unless it was a tarmac warrior though. Big wad of time and money for precision in setting brake bias. Archie you fat c*#t, I'm not sure skewing is such a p...

Ronnie - I used to run the volvo 4 pots on an Escort (they were cross drilled with single brake line). We were going to put 4 pots on a gemini race car that we were derping around with but ended up just using standard calipers on slotted rotors with braided brake lines and decent fluid. It was fine ...

I don't see why you couldn't split the brake line using a t-piece and run twin entry to the caliper. I imagine the only downside is making sure you have enough room for the twin pipes

Make sure you have those bent wire brake pad clip thingys that sit between the pads at the top of the caliper. My gem makes a clicking noise from the front right caliper because that clip isn't there and the pad is tapping on the slide pins.

Ive never used a gasket on the diff (in fact, ive never seen a gemini with a gasket there!). I just clean the surface and use gasket goo - works erry time.

1st is down and left where 2nd usually is, then 2nd is where third usually is, 3rd is where 4th usually is etc. The idea is you only have to 'cross the gate' changing gears once between 2nd and 5th.

Rod just put an LSD piazza diff into his track car. We popped the thing in the dropsaw, hacked out a bit of tube,(can't remember how much), zapped it back together, ripped a bit off the end of the axles, slapped it all together, and whacked it under the TG. Also needed upper arm mounts stuck up und...
