Re: Ozgemini Dyno Results Thread

Jonno can move it if he wants haha!
Yes they were never designed for these cylinder pressures i agree with you, but either way they can take an absolute beating from the factory!

Re: Ozgemini Dyno Results Thread

But the standard tolerances in a g161 won't lend themselves to the very high cylinder pressures you will see with big boost. I'd be more concerned about a piston grabbing the wall or a bearing doing the same to the crank / journal. Very good points to consider! although as long as the oil pressure ...

Re: Ozgemini Dyno Results Thread

The standard pistons would handle 30psi, as long as you avoid detonation completely. Not sure if the head will stay planted without head studs though. Should have my smaller turbo rear housing soon for my setup which will help it make boost easier, Its now running on e85 but injectors are approachin...

Re: Ozgemini Dyno Results Thread

Yes completely standard g161 cast pistons and a standard type head gasket, sprayed with hylomar. Im happy with how it is holding up.
I have had it as high as 19psi for a few weeks

Re: Ozgemini Dyno Results Thread

My daily driver tc sedan Has a tired g161z bottom end, around 8.3:1 comp. Port dags removed, very small tighe turbo cam, valve springs running 15psi. Ended up making 192hp or something once i leaned the fuel out, Afterwards i was told i strapped the car down too tight and it would have gone well ove...

Re: Ozgemini Dyno Results Thread

Cheeers blokes, The big cam and low comp is actually working backwards, my dynamic compression would be as low as 7:1 from what i have read. An increase upto 13:1 would yeild an easy 15% gain through the entire rpm range with the same bolt ons. Its on 98, timing is locked at 40degrees. Im getting a ...

Re: 150 horsepower engine

A 150rwhp n/a g series will take alot of work, even if you want 150 @ the flywheel thats still a very modified engine.
Start with building your engine around a g200 block, more cubes to start with the easier it will be.

Re: Hall effect sensor, no pickup

All sorted, turns out i had the ecu wired to acessories and not ignition, everytime you crank the engine over acessories would cut out and the ecu would turn off ( looked like it was on to me during the log )

Re: Hall effect sensor, no pickup

First time starting it up. The ecu is an adaptronic e420d, i sent the ecu file and a log of me cranking it over to them af they said the ecu settings are fine and its a pickup issue. I ran a 12v wire to it instead of the 5v but there was no change, the 5v wire was still in the shield though. ( every...

Hall effect sensor, no pickup

Im getting no pickup from my hall effect sensor, now all the settings in the ecu are fine its been sent off to be checked. Its a honeywell gt101 used with a 6" 36-1 tooth wheel, the wiring is 5v positive, signal and ground. Now a couple things that could be affecting it that i can think of are ...

Re: Catch can setup with Twin side drafts

Rocker cover to catch can, then catch can to a 1 way valve then from there to the last collector of your extractors
