Cheers. Ive looked into what arrow did he is running 5 inch backspace on 8.5 inch rears with diff shortened 55mm a side which i calc to be 61mm effective offset so equivalent on an 8 inch should be 55mm offset so ill go for that. What you reckon?

Ive got piazza discs on a diesel diff but dimensions are the same as a standard diff and brakes. So +50 offset on an 8 will be exact center?

What offset on an 8" rim will put the it in the exact center of the rear tubs. I calculated something close to +45?

Mine did the same, but i found that twisting the hose prior to locking it down could get it to "bunch" in a different direction (ie away from the wheel and the body). i think in the hoppers instructions it suggests this also.

also this thread suggests turning cam in engine normal rotation (clockwise) would be advancing the cam

was just looking at this and noticed something strange - there is an 'A' marked to the left of the centre ('0') hole and a 'R' to the right, assuming 'advance' and 'retard'. I'm almost certain that rotating the cam clockwise while the crank stays where it is would advance the cam, and opposite to re...
