Re: 8" rim exact center offset

Cheers. Ive looked into what arrow did he is running 5 inch backspace on 8.5 inch rears with diff shortened 55mm a side which i calc to be 61mm effective offset so equivalent on an 8 inch should be 55mm offset so ill go for that. What you reckon?

Re: 8" rim exact center offset

Ive got piazza discs on a diesel diff but dimensions are the same as a standard diff and brakes. So +50 offset on an 8 will be exact center?

Re: hopper stoppers. brake line issue

Mine did the same, but i found that twisting the hose prior to locking it down could get it to "bunch" in a different direction (ie away from the wheel and the body). i think in the hoppers instructions it suggests this also.

ok, so based on your block being decked and head being shaved, you cam will be retarded and you will advance it to compensate?

also this thread suggests turning cam in engine normal rotation (clockwise) would be advancing the cam

ok, looking at another post you said the following though: "The way i see it is that when the block and head are heavily decked the cam is closer to the crank, therefore the tensioner takes up the slack on the drivers side causing the cam to rotate slightly anti clockwise (looking towards the m...

rollmaster double row cam sprocket dowel holes

was just looking at this and noticed something strange - there is an 'A' marked to the left of the centre ('0') hole and a 'R' to the right, assuming 'advance' and 'retard'. I'm almost certain that rotating the cam clockwise while the crank stays where it is would advance the cam, and opposite to re...
