LOK: Yeh it will rotate both ways. REDGEMCOUPE: Mains are the same mains for this engine installed in chronological order. Without the piston/rod assemblies the crank spins really nice. Light as a feather by hand. On the big ends i had .05mm clearance on all and number 1 was .03 all using plastigauge.

So i did the bottom end re checks the other day. Got all excited. Screwed the head back on it and its still tight to turn over with the plugs out. With the plugs in is well hard to say the least. The oil pump has nothing to do with your efi. The oil pump as said has got "5" teeth on it, the driving gear has 18 teeth on it.

Kk i re checked it and they were between .02 and .05 so im happy with that.

Another quick one how big of a cam can i get away with with the pistons sticking .25mm out the deck without fly cuts?

i have never used spring compressors not for standard springs. Never use wire ever either. Just jam it into the lower control arm and jack it up. I do have my own special legs i made the very first time i put in lowered springs and used some all thread to clamp them up very long tedious process thou...

nah thats fine, was about what i thought. .05mm I work as a fitter and turner and our general rule of thumb for pins etc is that for every 1" of diameter 1-2 thou of clearance. So 50mm =2" so about 2-3 thou which is .050mm - .075mm error on the tight side of caution. Will check it all tomo...
