$35 isn't too bad, I had some flanges cut at an engineering place and they were about $80 a flange. by the time they set their machine up and labour time etc.
it does seem excessive for a small thing but there aren't many alternatives

Re: Using 4ze1 dizzy for crank angle sensor Q's
this is exactly what I did with mine. I used a Na sr20 disc, I had to mount it upside down because the rodeo dizzy spins the other way. theres also a locating tag that needs to be cut off in the rodeo dizzy. it works great and to set up the haltech, you just set it up as a Nissan optical trigger.

Re: Custom Length Rods Anyone Want?
Do you mind if I ask why? why are you going to the trouble of getting a custom rod? there's plenty of off the shelf rods available. I can't see how obtaining the perfect rod ratio is going to make a difference in reality. there plenty of people using off the shelf rod with better results than you're...

Re: Rear brake disk donors
I just used commodore stuff and redrilled it to 4x100. You can buy blank discs and drill your own. I have fittd standard gemini rims to the rear and the fit fine. Its been done a hundred times.

Re: 4Z in Gem roll call
Ok, with my engine mounts around the normal way the distance from the gearbox/engine mounting face to the radiator support panel is 695mm. Hope that helps.

Re: 4Z in Gem roll call
I ran my engine mounts around the normal way. I modified the heater fan cover originally because I ran a piazza dizzy. I've since changed to a 4ze1 dizzy with no cap as a crank trigger with coils. it clears the firewall ok (10mm to spare). I'd avoid using the mounts around the wrong way because the ...

Re: Hall effect sensor, no pickup
I had this same drama when I set up the haltech ps1000 in my piazza gem. its running a 4ze1 dizzy as the crank trigger and Hyundai coils. I sent my cranking datalog to haltech and they said it was fine. I sent the ECU to be tested and it was fine. I wasn't seeing any outputs from the ECU. it turns o...

Re: Isuzu gearboxes - 4 and 5 speeds
Ok I'm no gearbox guru but I'll spill what I know. The early tx's had their own unique gearbox. The best way to tell if it's this box is that reverse is to the left and up, not right and down as per all the other boxes. Every other rear wheel drive Gemini had the MSG gearbox. I'm not sure when the s...

Re: 4zc1-t conversion. my way
I doubt you'll get close to that kind of horsepower with the standard turbo. my 4ZC1T made 118rwkw with the standard turbo on about 13psi. the turbo was basically maxed out at that and I was only using a fuel only microtech. I've found the 4zc1t hard to make easy power with. I've since built mine wi...

Re: Key mania
funny you should say that. I work as a roadside patrolman with RAC and come across this quite a bit. the key will work one minute and not the next. try a different key and all good.
I find it with lots of 90's toyotas and things.

Re: list your turbo cam specs
it sounds exactly the same as the 265 degree cam I have at the moment, you wouldn't even know its a non standard cam. I think the 272 is as big as you can get on a re grind. I don't know if anyone does new billets for those cams. I'm still curious to see what spec cams guys like Coxy and others use ...

Re: list your turbo cam specs
archangle62 your cam grind specs are identical to what Crow Cams have advised me to use. I'll presume yours is a Crow. how does your engine run with that cam? My car being a street car I'm not to keen on anything that sacrifices driveability, as you can imagine sitting at 2000rpm and 60km/h quite a ...

list your turbo cam specs
Hi guys. what turbo cams have you guys used in your set ups and with what results I'm looking to change the cam again in my 4zc1t gem. I've currently got one with 265 degrees of duration, 410 though of lift and 114 degrees of lobe separation. in thinking of going to the same specs but 272 degrees of...

Re: Suspension question ( could be stupid)
Why would you make it a solid mounted rear end and then put shocks and sway bars in?. I think setting it up correctly with some proper springs designed for drifting would be the best bet.
