actualy that sounds like a much better idea, got any other b1 bits? lol.
have heard that the distributor for these are b1 only, but have heard that may not have lasted for the entire run of the engine

4Z engine plate thickness
Can anyone tell me the thickness of a 4z engine plate?
I remember reading a while back that the plate is thicker on the 4z engines than they are on the g series, and my 4z engine didn't come with the plate so am wondering if the g series plate will be useable.

Re: Wagon Pan Hard Shortening Question
stock sedan rods are straight too, only the aftermarket ones have a bend to help with exhaust clearances

Re: Wagon Pan Hard Shortening Question
aren't wagon and sedan the same anyway? I thought it was only the shock locations that were different.

Wfc's singlepoint injection system?
Does anybody remember this?
He was working on them before he disappeared forever into the blue, he was using a ford spi throttlebody with a weber adaptor plate I think?
Anybody save the pics he posted or remember any of the details because most of his posts have vanished.

Re: were Isuzu stamped heads on oz TG
It's not too much oil until a lady says " but wasn't I supposed to fill it right to the top? " Have seen this done with a diesel engine. Stopped to help out a farmer who was standing near his truck about 100km north of Cloncurry, apparently he had his young farm hand top up his oil earlie...

Re: g180/200 rods in 1600 block
because it's not about increasing the capacity of the engine, I just want to upgrade the rods to stronger/lighter units without forking out money for custom made units. Are G180/200 rods lighter or stronger?? I would think thery would be slightly heavier, I can weigh some and measure some tonight i...

Re: g180/200 rods in 1600 block
Yeah I'm well aware of what needs to be done, the problem is in the numbers. Have been searching the forum for days, and all I can find is the "approximate" rod length for a g200 rod which apparently is the same for the g180 (133.5mm approximately) unfortunately I don't like the word appro...

Re: Acid Dipping.
acid dipping is something I have wanted for a long time but due to the lack of facilities here in qld no one does complete shells this side of sydney. a GOOD shop will treat it with a layer of lanolin spray after dipping and PROPER rinsing of the alkaline stripping process, this leaves a protective ...
