Re: Race Car Update...
Ive honestly never used a BOV, and never had any mechanical failures relating to a turbo. Fit one if you want, but personally i think they are a waste of time. If you had to fit one i think your only option would be on the alloy bend/elbow joining turbo to intercooler. What bottom end are you using ...

Re: Noisy thrust bearing
I didnt think the bearing could be installed on the carrier the wrong way - been a long time since ive looked at it but pretty sure the thrust surfaces of the bearing are the same on both sides. Im sure you've adjusted the clutch cable, but have you adjusted the pedal stop to remove the freeplay in ...

Re: Duratec head gasket
Didnt think 10.7:1 was high enough to cause those sorts of problems. Some more details may help - what bore size are you running, 84 or 87mm? https://thomas4parts.com/ Just sourced an MLS for my DOHC through him so you should be able to get one off him. As for the ARPs, any ARP supplier should be ab...

Re: G200z Main studs
I think its a trawl through the book thing dude. Only person i can think of that would know is Scott but he can be hard to get a hole of. Post the dimensions of the G200z mains bolts up, i want to compare them to the DOHC i just pulled to bits.

Re: Will Twin Zenith CD carbies fit
Late model G200W out of a JR130 Piazza. Has the forward-and-down oil filter housing which is needed to put these engines into a Gemini, plus the later timing case with the 3 bolt ratchet type upper tensioner

Re: Will Twin Zenith CD carbies fit
Sounds like its a JR130 engine. Which tensioner has it got? The three bolt ratchet one or the big-bolt oil pressure type? Pretty sure the dizzys spin the same way but if your only borrowing the shaft/housing, surely you could fix that part easily enough. Im curious about the drive gear and if you'll...

Re: Will Twin Zenith CD carbies fit
Have a look at the timing case - is it late tensioner or early? It can be a bit hit and miss with these engines - i have two G180Ws, both ex-PF60E - both have the oil cooler ports, both have the correct oil filter housing etc, but one runs the early oil pressure tensioner and one runs the later ratc...

Re: Will Twin Zenith CD carbies fit
Although the rocker cover is blue, its actually a late one - ISUZU and DOHC writing means it will most likely be JR130 Piazza if its all G200W bits and the rocker is red underneath the repaint, or G180w ex PF60E if its a different blue or black under] - that all assumes though its the correct cover ...

Re: Hello from California
I would definitely rebuild it, particularly if you plan on turbocharging it. Your HP goals are actually achievable on standard internals provided the tune is done correctly and you dont go too crazy with boost levels. Without knowing the exact combination of parts you have it can be a bit difficult ...
