G'day All, I've just purchased a rebuild kit for the TX brake master (remote reservoir). So Far Ive got all the fittings off and the snap clip off but I cant figure out how to get the pistons out. Im going off a TD workshop manual which says to release a pin but the tx master doesnt seem to have any...

Is that from the United servos? A friend was telling me about this and I was like you mean 98 right? But no there is 100. Not sure if it has ethanol though.
Avgas is like $2.20/Litre atm and thats at a busy airport. Can be over $3 elsewhere.
wouldnt it be more effort to do the swap as compared to just fixing the rust? Surely the labour and time involved in doing a swapover like that would far exceed just cutting out the rust and welding some new sections in, then clearing the defect? This and also if your going to do a swap, do it to a...
Make sure you run it almost empty before putting 98 in so you dont have a half mix.
Ultimately, the get the best results out of a different fuel you need to look at retuning. Both dissy & (possibly carby, but not so much going 91 - 98).
Okie doke. decided Im going to get 43mm Ram Tubes and 65mm (internal) Ram-Air Filter http://ramair-filters.co.uk/rs-carb-filters/dellorto-40-dhla-carb-filter-with-baseplate.html The 100mm (internal measurement) will just be cutting it to close to the shock tower and brake lines from master as the fo...
Madd, well thats good to know. Ill flog one of the g161z sensors off a dead block for the time being then keep my eyes open for an actual pressure gauge.
So just chucked the 2L in the gem and started it up, ran like a dream. Noticed that the oil light comes on as you rev then dims then off as it returns to idle. Im thinking that the pressure sensor on the 2L may be an actual pressure reading sensor and not an out of oil sensor if that makes any sense...
Well I have mad shitloads of space now. moved the reservoir to just infront of the recycle air duct for the blower. using the stock tx bracket as well because the angle is the same as the original mount point. just had to use self tappers though. Also got rid off the little bracket with a bolt in it...
Actually, just having a look on the ramair website. http://ramair-filters.co.uk/rs-carb-filters/dellorto-40-dhla-carb-filter-with-baseplate.html If I get the 403 which is 65mm, I can run 40mm trumpets and have about half an inch. Ill have another look at the car tomorrow and see what my options are ...
Yer, Im running a single DHLA 40 on Lynx manifold. Already swapped out the TE master cylinder + reservoir as the clearance was non existent. Got a TX one in there now, But I think Ill have to relocate the reservoir again unless I run tiny trumpets.
Don't run filter socks ruin the way the air flows into the intake you want a filter box with about an inch of clear air between the end of the trumpets and the filter there are a few options you can use, check Troyrotors purple wagons filters and check my one out it is a uni filter air box Sweet, g...
Okay, well now that the engine is in the car. I can see what Im looking at. Had to change the master over to a TX as it literally sat on the reservoir before the engine mount with the TD one. I have 65mm horizontal clearance to the Remote Res and about 30mm downward from the bottom of the carby inta...
