Re: hopper stoppers. brake line issue

The nut has a seat, how can it possibly move if its clipped in properly. I just fitted my brakes, no worries! you mean on the under side of the bracket on the body? is there a recces for the end of the brake line to seat into? if this is the case then it might be ok. but over time the hose will tak...

Re: hopper stoppers. brake line issue

A mate was doing a disc brake upgrade to his eh holden. The original brake line had a spring around the brake line which also connected to the body of the car which would keep the brake line out of the way under certain conditions. Might be worth looking into this concept if you are still stuck. Ch...

Re: hopper stoppers. brake line issue

They are braided lines.
I mean yes twisting them did work, but over time with vibration I can see them working themselves back to their natural spot and rubbing. If that's the only option I'm going to look at a strap or spring like the 4x4 guys use.

Re: hopper stoppers. brake line issue

yeah i did notice that if i twisted the line it helped. but over time i would assume it would work its way back to its natural position..
i was looking at maybe bending the body mount to point it in a differnt direction but unsure where to bend it to to avoid any contact

hopper stoppers. brake line issue

front brake lines on my hoppers look like they might be a problem. when the wheel is locked one direction and the line is stretched out (first pick) no issue. when its locked back the other way it bunches up either between the caliper and the rim (2nd and 3rd pick) which seems a bit risky to be brus...

provided you have the room behind the engine in the engine bay you'd be looking at custom engine mounts, custom gearbox mount, shortened tailshaft. shifter hole would move back but should still working the factory console. theres a few gems no here with electric pumps and thicker aluminum radiators ...

I'd advise lower offset than that. +20 is a good guide, or +15 if you want to go to 8" wide. I've used no centre carrier and it's been fine, ie a larger centre hole on the wheel. The rears on a Gemini don't even have anything to centre the wheel, but if the rims take tapered wheel nuts it cent...
