Making your own intake manifold

Has anyone done this? I'm considering designing a twin sidedraft weber style manifold for my quads to put the throttle bodies on an angle to clear the brake booster & elliminate the s bend of my current one. I'm wondering what material to use and if its a viable option. Being a structural steel ...

The pupose of the vac advance is to give additional advance over and above that of an 009 but only on light throttle. It will not give any extra advance on wider throttle settings and hence will not give you more raw power. The pupose of this is to improve fuel economy by giving additional advance ...

I ran them on my gem for 5 or 6 years without it connected. I thought the extra advance at partial throttle was just for efficiency & I guess it would help with throttle response?

wind it all the way on , but dont tighten it , just till it gets to the bottom , then wind it out 4 full turns. This is from the manual ( in my head ) Correct, and from there you find your 'lean best idle', so you lean it out (screw the mixture screw in) until the idle stops improving and starts to...

Aus post has put postage up

I've updated the sticker page to reflect, it's now $6.50

However, the really small stickers might be able to be posted in an envelope for $1.50, with cardboard to keep them flat.

Mine doesn't, I'm using the Crane XR-3000 one. Depends what you want to do, if you're not running multiple coils then you don't need a home signal. Well I guess that may also depend on what ecu you use

You could also go a megasquirt ECU which might be cheaper, depends what's around. You can also get optical kits for your standard dizzy, which you might fined easier than modifying a different distributer to fit. Of course, you can even start out with fuel only EFI and leave the standard dizzy alone...

Lok: Parts for sale are deleted after 6 months but we're reducing that to 3 months. Cars are longer as there's not as many and a little history is good. I have reduced the number of days & posts for new users to 3 each before allowing images to be posted. The spammer problem is pretty much sorte...
