Hey guys the SR20DET CAS wheel out of a GTiR pulsar fits straight in and offers lower resolution to suit most aftermarket ECU's. AEM can sell you the wheel

These the ones Josh? Have to touch anything [ie sensor positioning] or literally straight in and spark up?

Had a look for them last night, geez some of the postage costs being quoted from the US were f*#cking obscene! Whered you source yours from?

For those like me that are keen on this, note that one intended for a RWD SR20 [S13, S14 etc] will not work. The CAS trigger diameter on these is 50mm; 4ZE1, and Pulsar GTiR are 54mm diameter. No idea what SR as per N14/N15 FWD pulsars are.

Yeah it's only the pulsar CAS wheel. There is an AEM guys on ebay.com not ebay.com.au. He can get the postage right down.

this is exactly what I did with mine. I used a Na sr20 disc, I had to mount it upside down because the rodeo dizzy spins the other way. theres also a locating tag that needs to be cut off in the rodeo dizzy. it works great and to set up the haltech, you just set it up as a Nissan optical trigger.

This is pretty handy info. Diyautotune (megasquirt) also make the correct 54mm trigger wheel for pulsars that will fit the 4ze1 dizzy, with the tag modification mentioned above. Good to know if your ordering an ECU kit from them as it doesn't add any postage.

I'm running a DIYAutoTune item. Had to drill an extra hole to clear a mounting pin in the E1 dizzy but it's no stress.

Which trigger pattern Eli? DOHC CAS dizzy appears to be identical internal to 4ZE1

Heres the late 4ZE1 dizzy with the DIYAutotune 54mm nissan wheel that is the drop in replacement for the stock wheel.
Im using this for my megasquirt ecu install with individual LS1 coils.

Anyone got some tips on removing the centre screw from the dizzy? its tight as hell and i really don't want to strip the head. I think i had to heat up the last one i pulled apart, id like to avoid that for obvious reasons.

Just a quick update on the install of my DIY-Autotune trigger wheel, it has to be installed upside down. it makes sense when you put them together and see where the hole edges line up in reference to the D hole in the middle.
I've got it in and seems to be working well so far. another plus for this option is that your base timing is pretty close from the start, you just use the dizzy adjustment as usual to bring it inline with your ecu.

Sorry Nick I didn't check this thread (obviously lol)

It works like a 12/1 crank trigger, with a TDC cam reference on a second input.

If you accidentally put it in the wrong way up like me, the ECU offset is about 135 degrees, but as mentioned above if you drill a hole at 90 degrees (roughly inline with the TDC ref) it is pretty much perfect.

MattyA I imagine you've got it well and truly sorted by now but yeah, that middle screw is a bitch, it's easier to do on the motor or in a vice with a cloth around the gear. A big phillips or flat head and a f*#k tonne of downward force is the go.
