HALTECH SPRINT 500 basemap

Post by AdrianStarvaggi »

Hi guys
I'm wondering if someone could possibly help me. Iv just finished wiring up my haltech ECU and don't have a basemap, if there's someone that has the same ecu in there gemini that could send me one, or help me set one up from scratch?

Dr_Gem is the king of this s*#t he might be able to help? Alternatively I can have a look at my wifes graphing and try something? I need to do this for another project so If you do get a base map sorted let me know.

Alternatively hit up haltech directly. They're usually super useful.

Edit Ps build thread stat!

He gets on here from time to time I don't have contact details for him though sorry.

Try haltech via email or facebook they're generally pretty good. If that fails I'll rig up a battery in Amys Gem and have a look

No luck with haltech I gave them a call they haven't got any base maps to suit gemini at all in there system. Best he could suggest is getting one from someone with same car as me or starting from scratch and make a new one. Yeh if you could that would be a big help

Hey Adrian,

Give us some more details on your setup - the reason Haltech wont have anything to suit is because Geminis never had EFI in standard form - makes it hard to set up a base map not knowing what injector size, ignition etc that the car will be running. What I would do to get mine started is getting something close/similar in terms of size, cylinder, firing order and modifying it. ie - for my wifes car, we are running an EMS. Downloaded a base map to suit a Toyota 3SGTE and changed the required details - ignition type/trigger, required sensors.

Haltech should support a shitload of sensors if you've used readily available stuff [GM Delco, Ford, Nippondenso] ready to download so it shouldnt be too hard to get it started. Just dont kain it until its tuned.

Happy to help if you post:

Injector brand and size
Fuel type and base pressure on your regulator
Actual capacity (any overbore or stroke)
Ignition setup (including distributor type)
Intake and exhaust setup in detail
Throttle body type and size
Boost (if any)
Intercooled ?

The more detail the better

Hi Dr Gem

So I'm running the original injectors that come with rodeo manifold out of a 4ze1, I'm running 98 octane fuel, as for the base preasure on the regulator I'm unsure as it hasn't been setup as yet. No overbore or stroke it's just a g200 with cam, fly cut pistons. Ignition setup Iv gone with is distributer out of a Mitsubishi that's been modified to suit g series with cam sensor. And then running x4 LS1 coils. Intake is a custom round top hat and I'm running the original throttle body from 4ze1 I think it's 65mm. My exhaust is Headers into 2-1/2 with one muffler. It's a N/A setup so no boost or intercooler.
Running twin thermo fans, two fuel pumps one primary filling the surge tank and then an 044 supplying to the fuel rail. I think that's just about it
