Noisy thrust bearing

Put a new clutch and pressure plate in with a new thrust bearing, and when I put weight on the clutch pedal it was noisy, did I put it on backwards

I didnt think the bearing could be installed on the carrier the wrong way - been a long time since ive looked at it but pretty sure the thrust surfaces of the bearing are the same on both sides. Im sure you've adjusted the clutch cable, but have you adjusted the pedal stop to remove the freeplay in the pedal?
