my bad lol....was thinking of something else lol....and i think you have other issues like hitting the shock before a more positive offset reduces the track of the car
At full extension a 17 x7 with a +40 offset will hit the shock badly. So maximum offset with 17 x 7 would be about +35 and +30 or +32 would be better but getting these offsets would be difficult without custom offset I am guessing.
