That'l be the stainless steel milk brackets that fell in to my hand from workPoida wrote:yeah I can figure whatyou have there. That's not too bad but I'd still probably have somehow found a spot for the surge tank under the car somewhere.
You have to take the gloss off the pump and filter too... it's hideously bright! LOL

So the original gemini tubes fit into the borg warner housing as they measured like 1mm to small to me. It would have been a lot easyier to do it that way then the way I did it As for cutting in that works ok in a van but in a sedan or coupe the tunnels for the arms would be right under the rear seat which is not legal over here my engineer said it would be ok if I took the seat out though.

No they dont fit in, the gemini tube is flared to the same I/D as the borg warner tubes, then a tube is pushed inside of the B/W tubes and the gemini outer tubes is then pushed over that. The two tubes are welded at the join and drilled and plug welded also.

How did you do the axles did you get them changed to 4 stud or are they still 5. If their 4 would like to know how it was done because the axle flanges have 3 large holes in them and I can't get 4x100 pattern on the flange because one stud will end up in one of the larger holes plus on the other side of the flange the shaft tappers out to the flange and there is a machined lip and the stud will be half on it which is'nt good. But any way I guess one of the holes could be welded up and the lip on the back machined back a bit further just want to know if anyone else has any ideas.

I did'nt think a stud in a weld would be good either I thought of pressing a dowle into the hole and welding it so it can't move my other idea is to see if there are any other axles that fit the borgwarner housing with a differant flange Anyhow I think I'll be sending them away to a place called diffs r us they will shorten redrill ect all in one for me make's sure its all perfect seen as their specialists.

yes R31 australian skyline use a borg warner diff with a 4 stud pattern easy to just drill 4 new holes in a 100mm pattern and pop the old studs out!Burntrubber wrote:I did'nt think a stud in a weld would be good either I thought of pressing a dowle into the hole and welding it so it can't move my other idea is to see if there are any other axles that fit the borgwarner housing with a differant flange Anyhow I think I'll be sending them away to a place called diffs r us they will shorten redrill ect all in one for me make's sure its all perfect seen as their specialists.
