Rim & Tire size and Offset Data base
WHEELS TIRES AND OFFSETS
The topic seems to be getting pretty popular lately so I thought a thread with as much collective info as possible would be good.
Try and keep the dribble and chat out of this thread.
The aim is to get a “database” of as many rims size, offsets, tires combos as possible listed with first hand experience listing pics and pros/cons etc.
Please try and include as much info, measurements and picks as you can to keep it all as clear as possible for those reading
Stock wheel specs AFAIK are 5 x et30 (someone let me know if im wrong and ill fix it)
These three websites are very helpful in working out what you need
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp
http://www.autolounge.net/calculators/tirespacing.html
Remember when picking rims that even though they may fit u still have to abide by your states laws regarding overall diameter, width and track alterations
If people know there local rules on this matter please PM them to me and ill add them in here for people to reference
[insert state based rim/tire/offset/tack rules here]

As an example ill do one of mine
TD Sedan
15x8 ET00
Rims poke out past the guards about 10mm.
Do not hit front shocks when jacked up.
195/50/15 scrubbed on the rear lower corner of the front guards. (these were unusable)
Tires were swaped for 195/45/15 which cleared everywhere nicely
Iv lipped the inner part of the guards up and also rolled the flattened edge of the guards out to be inline with the rest of the guard angle. (Front AND Rear)
Front clear everywhere nicely lock to lock, rears still scrub the tires over large bumps.. passenger in the rear is a no go as it will scrub tires

18x7.5 et+40
215/35r18
scrubs a small amount on front guard with super low minus half a coil. thats with lipped guards. soon to roll the guards same as genes.
does not hit shock when jacked up with standard shocks. hits my adjustables as they are slightly longer.
rears sit in a bit to much for my liking but lipped guards are necessary
although rear isnt as low as i want yet.
this is on a wagon, sedan and coupe may differ

this is the front you mean?? unsure about the "longer shocks scrubbing" ?? any extra detail?? or do you mean there a thicker shaft??troyrotor wrote: does not hit shock when jacked up with standard shocks. hits my adjustables as they are slightly longer.
i find it unusual that +40(or more) 17x7" scrub shocks but a couple people with 18x7.5 with ET40+ (or more) are saying they dont get any scrubbing?
i realise the shocks are on an angle but the rim is only moving up 12.5mm as well as getting wider
thanks

yeah fronts. it may have been the extra width but i thought it was the extra drop cause less of an angle on the shock meaning its closer to standing up straight thus closer to the rim.
this only happens when the wheels have been left off the ground for a while, the air takes a little while to escape and sink to its full length.
yer ive heard so many people with problems with smaller wheels than me and ofsets that shouldnt be a problem. unless there is a slight shock mount difference between models?

Re: Rim & Tire size and Offset Data base
Im running 19x7.5 +42 Offset. ( TX Sedan )
Perfect in the rear, slight rub here and there on the front. Slightly lowered, no lipped front or rear guards.
If i used lowered solid axle rear commodore springs, it would be better. Bit more stiffer and less body roll.
Not down that track yet, but i'll be doing lowered shocks and springs, adjustable panhard rod.. etc etc..
