Rim Size For Gemini

Post by lokest »

Hi All,

I am looking at buying 17's for an 84 TG.

The seller has advised the rims are 17inch with 215/45 tyres 4 or 5 stud pattern to suit different cars. PCD is 4x114.3 and that Geminis are usually 4x100.

Will these fit my car and are they legal? I originally thought that you could only go 2" larger than original rim size but then was told that it depends only on diameter and width?

Can someone educate me, im sure it has been asked 100 times but i want to know specifically for these rims as I am quite keen on them

You cannot have those wheels, sorry. Geminis are 4x100 and there is not a lot you can do about it without a tonne of cash and probably some engineering rubbish.
