Quick q.
I want to run an autometer fuel gauge.
The one I'm looking at supposedly is suited to pre 98 GM based vehicles.
Empty reads 0 ohms and full 90ohms.
What's the Gemini one read at?
Can I use standard one or should I get some sort of sender unit to suit?
Ideas?

As in Isuzu workshop manual..
-Connect ohmmeter to tank and move float from 'E' to 'F'.The unit is normal if the resistance varies from 103 - 117 ohms to 1 - 5 ohms when float is moved. When float is in 'F' position, resistance should be 6 ohms when in the 1/2" position, resistance should be 32.5 ohms and in the 'E' position the resistance should be 97 ohms

I had a look, and most Autometer gauges run opposite to what you want. I think you're going to need to find a replacement sender, unless you can may flip it around?

Re: autometer fuel gauge help
Jonno, you definitely need to use an Autometer fuel sender. The Gemini sender is not compatible.
The fuel tank will need to be cleaned and treated to allow a hole to be in the tank, for mounting the sender. Both arms are then adjusted to ensure the float sits at empty/full positions and the sender wire goes to the gauge.
Pretty simple once the tank is treated, but even easier if the sender is done by the person treating the tank.

I haven't done much with this since I asked originally (put my money into something else)
I'll look into the above.
Thanks man
